You found THE EYE on the midway. You step up and feel the bowl of eyeballs. You assume they’re plastic replicas, but… these are squishier and damper than you thought.
You walk around the attraction and, behind you, find a cluster of clown shoe-shaped footprints in the mud around the bottom of the buttress holding up the bumper cars’ roof.
You are confident the saboteur is a clown. You let out a hearty laugh as saboteur comes from the French slang where saboter meant to work carelessly or “clomp” clumsily. You tuck that in the back of your mind and hope this clown doesn’t completely wreck the carnival.
You need to fix this, but how?
You found a small pile of nuts and bolts.

You gather them and, by hand, you painstakingly screw all four back into the buttress foundation. It takes a while, but you use all your strength. It isn’t perfect. You make notes to tell the general manager what you found and to secure it further.
As you finish your notes, you look down, and large clown footprints can’t be missed. You follow them all around until they stop at the SWAN CHOP.
